    St. Francis of Assisi

    We spend the day in Assisi and being by exploring the hilltop birthplace of St. Francis. In the Crypt of St. Francis Basilica lies the tomb of one of the most beloved saints of all time, St. Francis of Assisi. We will visit also the Basilica of St. Clare and the Crucifix from which Jesus spoke to St. Francis.

The Miracles

  • Siena

    Siena

    In the Church of St. Francis, a consecrated host fell during the distribution of Communion. Instead of dissolving, it remained intact and was later placed in a special container. Over the years, the host showed no signs of decay.

  • Orvieto Church

    Ovieto

    A priest, Peter of Prague, experienced doubts about transubstantiation while celebrating Mass in Bolsena. During the consecration, the host began to bleed. The pope, who was in nearby Orvieto, investigated and declared it a miracle.

  • Cascia

    Cascia

    A woman suffering from doubts about the Real Presence of Christ received Communion during Mass. The host she received transformed into flesh and blood, leading to her repentance and conversion.

  • Lanciano Eucharist

    Lanciano

    During Mass, a monk doubted the real presence of Christ in the Eucharist. Upon consecration, the host transformed into flesh, and the wine turned into blood. The relics are still preserved and displayed in the Church of San Francesco in Lanciano.

  • Depart Los Angeles with a flight to Milan, Italy. In the next couple days, we will spend our time exploring the rich culture and heritage of Italy and following the Eucharistic Miracle Route.

  • Upon arrival at Milan Airport, we will be greeted by our English speaking Tour Manager and bus driver. Then we will drive to our hotel. Check in at the hotel, dinner and overnight.

  • Visit to the following sites: Duomo, Galleria Vittorio Emanuele, La Scala Opera Theatre Castello Sforzesco, Church of Santa Maria Segreta, and the “Last Supper” of Leonardo Da Vinci. Back to hotel.

  • Visit the Piazza del Campo and visit the Cathedral and the Basilica of St. Francis contatining the miraculous consecreated host. We visit the Basilica of St. Dominic and celebrate Mass. Continue to Assisi.

  • Visit the birthplace of St. Francis, Basilica of St. Claire, Sanctuary of the Renunciation, a part of the church of St. Mary Major to pray over the tomb of Blessed Carlo Acutis. Back to hotel.

  • Visit the Eucharistic Miracle of Bolsena that occasioned the proclamation of the Feast of Corpus Christi. Visit Basilica of St. Mary of the Angels, Porziuncola, and the Chapel of Transit. Back to hotel.

  • Visit Basilica of St. Rita and incorrupt body. Celebrate Mass at the Eucharistic Miracle chapel. Visit to the monastery where St. Rita received stigmate, her wedding ring and habit. Continue to Lanciano.

  • Visit the Sanctuary of the Eucharistic Miracle in the Piazza Plebiscito. Continue to San Giovanni Rotondo and visit the Shrine dedicated San Padre Pio. Visit Santa Maria Delle Grazie. Back to hotel.

  • Montecassino Abbey is one of the oldest and most prominent monasteries in Western Europe. Founded by St. Benedict in the 6th century, the abbey has a rich history that includes periods of destruction and reconstruction, notably during World War II. Continue to Rome.

  • Visit the Vatican Museums and the Sistine Chapel to admire works of Michaelangelo. Visit St. Peter’s Basilica, St. John of Lateran, Holy Steps, St. Mary Major. Celebrate Mass. Back to hotel.

  • Join in the Papal Audience in Vatican city with a blessing by the Pope. Walk through the Baroque squares and churches of Rome. Highlights include: Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, Pantheon. Back to the hotel.

  • As we go back home, we remember the the places and sights we've visited and hopefully this pilgrimage has you spiritually nourished, enlightened, and refreshed.
