Daily Itinerary

  • The pilgrimage starts with a flight from Los Angeles to Toulouse, France. We embark on a spiritual journey to experience the well known pilgrimage sites of France, Spain and Portugal.

  • You will be welcomed by your tour escort and driver before our transfer to the hotel in Lourdes for check-in, dinner and overnight stay.

  • During our stay in Lourdes, we will visit the historic and spiritual sites associated with Bernadette, the visionary child of Lourdes. We begin at the Grotto of the Apparitions, and then continue on a guided walking tour visiting the Basilica of St. Pius X, Boly Mill, Soubirous family home, the Basilica of the Rosary, Miraculous Spring and the healing baths. Join pilgrims from around the world in the nightly rosary and candlelight procession.

  • Today we depart Lourdes and drive over the Pyrenees to Andorra la Vella and view Romanesque churches and stone houses in the city’s quarter along with a visit to the Shrine of Our Lady of Meritxell. In Andorra we will then enjoy time at leisure for shopping- This small country is entirely a free trade zone. Most of the major stores are concentrated in the capital. Check in at hotel in Andorra with dinner and overnight stay.

  • Today we check out and drive to Montserrat, home to the Benedictine monastery dramatically set in the Montserrat mountain range. Pilgrims from around the world flock to this monastery to view its magnificent architecture in such a striking setting. This shrine has attracted pilgrims for over 700 years, much as it did Ignatius of Loyola in March of 1522. We pause here to visit the Black Madonna of Montserrat, probably Spain’s most fervent devotion to the Blessed Mother. We continue to Barcelona, where upon arrival we will stop at Tibidabo to visit the Temple of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Continue to the hotel for check in, dinner and overnight stay.

  • In the morning, we meet our local guide and enjoy a panoramic tour of Barcelona including panoramic views of the harbor area, Montjuic, Plaza de Espana and Plaza de Catalunya. We will then visit Barcelona Cathedral, where we celebrate Mass, followed by a visit to Gaudi’s La Sagrada Familia a magnificent, unfinished Roman Catholic basilica of impressive proportions. Balance of the day is at our disposal for shopping at Las Ramblas. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

  • Today, after breakfast, we check out and drive to Torreciudad where we will visit the Marian Shrine dedicate to Our Lady of the Angels. The history of the new sanctuary begins in 1956, thanks to the love to the Virgin of Saint Josemaría Escrivá de Balaguer. He was the founder of the Opus Dei and it was his idea to build the place. We will celebrate Masss and continue to Zaragoza where we will check in, have dinner and overnight stay.

  • Today we will visit and celebrate Mass at the Basilica of Our Lady of the Pilar. Here, we will see the magnificent altar built on the site where the Blessed Virgin appeared to the Apostle enjoy some time at leisure in the historical city center. The Visigoth period contains architectural elements of Gothic, Mudejar, Renaissance, and Baroque styles. In addition to the famous cathedral, Zaragoza is known for its folklore and local gastronomy. In the afternoon, drive to Burgos where we will check in at the hotel, have dinner and overnight stay.

  • After breakfast, we celebrate Mass at the UNESCO-listed Cathedral of Burgos, a masterpiece of Spanish Gothic architecture. The profusion of sculptural decoration and grandiose proportions make this cathedral one of the most impressive in Spain and the third-largest after the cathedrals of Seville and Toledo. See the 13th-century claustro (cloister), which contains the monumental tombs of Ferdinand III and his wife Beatrice of Swabia and celebrate Mass, time for lunch, then we drive to Salamanca where we check in at the hotel , have dinner and overnight stay.

  • In the morning we visit Salamanca with the local guide. Salamanca is a city in the Castilla y Leon region known for its large university, the oldest in Spain that is still active along with its prominent culture. Our walking tour will bring us to the most noteworthy sites, such as; the grand Plaza Mayor, an iconic square filled with food, shopping, and city events. La Clerecia, a church, and college of the Jesuit Order constructed in the seventeenth century. La Casa de las Conchas currently a public library and monument, decorated with shells that symbolize the famous pilgrimage to Santiago (El Camino). Celebrate Mass, the we drive to Fatima in Portugal where we will check in, have dinner and overnight stay.

  • Today we visit the Chapel of the Apparitions, the Basilica and the tombs of Francisco, Jacinta and Sr. Lucia. We visit also the Monument to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. In Aljustrel and Valinhos, we see the two homes of the little shepherds and site of the first and third visit of the “Angel of Peace.” We stop at the Parish Church and the cemetery where Francisco and Jacinta were once buried. Celebrate Mass. After dinner, we join the nightly candlelight procession.

  • After breakfast, we check out and drive to Santarem to visit the Church of the Holy Miracle (formerly known as the Church of St. Stephen to venerate the 13th century Miracle of the Eucharist and celebrate Mass. Continue to Lisbon. Upon arrival we enjoy time for lunch, then we begin our panoramic city tour of Lisbon, the capital of Portugal and one of the most beautiful and historic European cities. Located on the River Tagus, Lisbon is full of life, color, and fascinating places. We see Belem Tower, the longest bridge in Europe, and the impressive 300-foot- high statue of Christ the King. We tour the monastery where St. Jacinta stayed before dying and the magnificent Church of St. Anthony. Check into our hotel where we have time to rest before dinner.

  • At agreed time, transfer to the Lisbon airport to catch our flights back home.
