End your day with a sunset dinner overlooking the Mediterranean, savoring fresh seafood and local delicacies.

Start your day with a visit to the Archaeological Park of Paestum, a UNESCO World Heritage site, where you can explore the well-preserved ancient Greek temples, including the Temple of Hera and the Temple of Neptune. After breakfast in Naples, we depart for Mugnano del Cardinale, a peaceful town about 1.5 hours away, where we will celebrate Mass at the Shrine of Saint Philomena. From there, we continue through the scenic Irpinia region, known for its rolling vineyards, and arrive at a local winery after a 45-minute drive. Here, we’ll enjoy a guided tour, a delicious regional lunch, and a wine tasting. In the afternoon, we drive approximately 3 hours and 15 minutes to San Giovanni Rotondo, our final destination for the day and home for the next two nights.

After we, check into our accommodation and take some time to unwind before exploring the charming old town, perched above dramatic cliffs with stunning views of the Adriatic Sea.

Stroll through the UNESCO World Heritage-listed district of Trulli, marveling at these traditional, cone-shaped stone dwellings. In the afternoon, head to a local oil mill to learn about the production of extra virgin olive oil, a staple of Italian cuisine. Take a guided tour of the mill, where you’ll discover the traditional methods used to press olives, and enjoy a tasting of the fresh, high-quality olive oils.

Today we journey to Castel Gandolfo, a picturesque village nestled in the Alban Hills, overlooking the tranquil waters of Lake Albano. This historic town, long favored as the summer residence of the Popes, offers a serene and beautiful setting rich with papal heritage and breathtaking views. Enjoy time to stroll through its charming streets, visit the Papal Palace or gardens (if open), and soak in the peaceful ambiance of this sacred and scenic destination. As the sun sets, we’ll gather in Castel Gandolfo for a special farewell dinner at a traditional local restaurant. Savor regional dishes made with fresh, local ingredients—perhaps some wood-roasted meats, handmade pastas, and a glass of local wine—as we reflect on the blessings of our pilgrimage and share our final evening in fellowship and joy. Following dinner, we make a short drive to nearby Frascati, where you will check in to your accommodations and enjoy a restful final night in Italy.
