Daily Itinerary

  • The pilgrimage starts with a flight from Los Angeles to Amman, Jordan. For the next couple of days, we will embark on a spiritual journey to experience the well known pilgrimage sites of Israel & Jordan.

  • Arrive Amman International Airport. After passport control and once you exit the airport, our English-speaking representative will meet and escort you to board your modern deluxe bus to your hotel for check in.

  • Today we visit Petra (entrance included), one of the great wonders of the ancient world, built by the Nabateans around the 2nd century BC. Entering through the dramatic Siq, we arrive at the magnificent Treasury and continue to explore highlights including the Roman Theater, Nabatean burial caves, and the Byzantine Basilica. We then return to our hotel. Dinner and overnight in Amman.

  • After breakfast and check-out, we drive to Mount Nebo (entrance included) to visit the Memorial Church of Moses, where Moses viewed the Promised Land before his death. We then cross the border into the Holy Land (border fees included). En route to Nazareth, we stop at Mount Tabor (taxi included), the site of the Transfiguration, where we reflect on Christ’s human and divine natures and celebrate Mass (subject to confirmation). We continue to Nazareth for hotel check-in, followed by dinner and an overnight stay in Nazareth.

  • Drive to the Sea of Galilee for a boat ride (included), followed by a visit to the Mount of Beatitudes, the site of Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount. Here, we enjoy the beautiful gardens, reflect on His teachings, and celebrate Mass (subject to confirmation). We then visit Tabgha, where Jesus multiplied the loaves and fishes, and continue to the nearby site of Peter’s Primacy, where the risen Christ appeared to His disciples and entrusted Peter to “feed my lambs; feed my sheep” (John 21:9). There will be time to enjoy lunch on your own, with the opportunity to try traditional St. Peter’s fish (not included). We then travel to Capernaum (entrance included), the biblical village and hometown of Jesus, where we see the remains of Peter’s mother-in-law’s house and the ancient synagogue associated with much of Jesus’ teaching. We return to our hotel in Nazareth for dinner and an overnight stay.

  • We drive to Cana of Galilee, where Jesus performed His first miracle by changing water into wine at the request of His mother (John 2:1–11). In Cana, we visit the Franciscan Chapel, where those who wish may have the opportunity to renew their wedding vows (subject to confirmation). We then visit Nazareth, the hometown of Mary and the place where Jesus lived as a child. Here, we visit the Church of the Annunciation, built over the house of Mary, where the Angel Gabriel announced that she would bear a son called Immanuel. We will visit the Upper Basilica before heading back to hotel for dinner and overnight in Nazareth.

  • After check-out, we proceed to the coastal city of Haifa to visit Stella Maris, a Carmelite monastery dedicated to Our Lady of Mount Carmel, built above the cave where the prophet Elijah is believed to have lived. From here, we enjoy a panoramic view of the Bay of Acco and celebrate Mass (subject to confirmation). We then continue to Caesarea (entrance included) for a photo stop at the ancient Roman Aqueduct. Next, we travel to the village of Ein Karem, the birthplace of St. John the Baptist, where we visit the Church of St. John the Baptist and the Church of the Visitation. We continue to Bethlehem for hotel check-in, followed by dinner and an overnight stay in Bethlehem.

  • We begin our day with a visit to the Mount of Olives for a panoramic view of Jerusalem. We then visit the Church of the Pater Noster (entrance included), where Jesus taught His disciples how to pray, and walk down Palm Sunday Road with a stop at Dominus Flevit. Continuing on, we visit the Garden of Gethsemane and the Rock of Agony. We return to Bethlehem and begin our visit at Manger Square, in front of the Church of the Nativity, one of the oldest Christian churches in the world. We enter the church and descend to the Grotto of the Nativity, marking the place of Jesus’ birth, where a silver star bears the inscription Hic de Virgine Maria Jesus Christus natus est (“Here Jesus Christ was born to the Virgin Mary”). We celebrate Mass (subject to confirmation). Our day concludes with a visit to the Shepherds’ Field, where the angels announced the birth of Christ to the shepherds. We then return to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay in Bethlehem.

  • Today we walk the Via Dolorosa, the Way of the Cross, through the Old City of Jerusalem, beginning at the Antonia Fortress where Jesus was condemned by Pontius Pilate and carried His cross through the city to Calvary. We pass the Stations of the Cross and walk through the Old City markets to the Church of the Holy Sepulcher, also known as the Church of the Resurrection, which marks the sites of Calvary and the empty Tomb of Christ. We celebrate Mass in the church (subject to confirmation), followed by breakfast in the Old City (included). We then continue to the Jewish Quarter to see the Roman Cardo and King Hezekiah’s Broad Wall, leading to the Western Wall, Judaism’s holiest site. Next, we visit the Pools of Bethesda (entrance included), where Jesus healed the paralyzed man (John 5), and sing hymns in the beautifully preserved Crusader Church of St. Anne. After lunch on your own, we visit the Church of St. Peter in Gallicantu (entrance included) and the Cenacle, the site of the Last Supper and Pentecost. Dinner and overnight in Bethlehem.

  • After check-out, we drive to the ancient city of Jericho, the oldest continuously inhabited city in the world, with views of the Mount of Temptation along the way. We tour Jericho (entrance to Tel Jericho included) and visit the Sycamore Tree site, recalling the encounter between Jesus and Zacchaeus.
