The pilgrimage starts with a flight from Los Angeles to Rome, Italy. We embark on a spiritual journey to experience the well known pilgrimage sites of the Vatican, Italy, France, Spain and Portugal.

You will be welcomed by your tour escort and driver with time permitting, have a Mass at St. Paul Outside the Walls and a panoramic tour of Imperial Rome before our transfer to the hotel in Rome for check-in, dinner and overnight stay.

After breakfast, we will start the day celebrating Mass. Then we will enjoy a guided tour of the Major Basilicas. We will begin our tour with Basilica of St Mary Major. The crypt is built to resemble the cave of the Nativity in Bethlehem and here there is a reliquary containing part of the Holy Crib in which our Lord Jesus Christ once lay. After, we will visit Holy Stairs, so named because they are the steps which led to the praetorium of the Roman Procurator Ponzio Pilato. From there we will visit Basilica of St John in Lateran which houses a fragment of the table on which Jesus consumed his last supper- Break for lunch. In the afternoon we will visit the Vatican Museums, which house what can be described as the most important collections of art in the world. We will also visit the Sistine Chapel and St. Peter’s Basilica.

Today, we will join pilgrims from all over the world in San Peter’s square, to attend the Papal Audience. After, we drive to the Trevi Fountain to enjoy some time at leisure for lunch. In the afternoon we depart to Assisi and upon arrival we visit the Basilica of Santa Maria Degli Angeli to celebrate Mass. After, we check in at the hotel, have dinner and stay overnight.

After breakfast, we meet the guide and enjoy a guided tour of this famously charming and historic city, birthplace of the beloved St. Francis! We will visit the Church of Santa Chiara and then we proceed to the site where St. Francis was born - the house where he spent his childhood. We reach the very heart of the town, the Piazza del Commune (Town Hall square), with its Roman and medieval buildings. Next, we continue towards the ancient city walls to the Basilica of St. Francis built above the inspiring final resting place of the saint. The interiors of the basilica are intricately decorated with frescoes from the 12th and 13th centuries depicting the various stages of the saint’s life and spiritual transformation to a life of poverty and dedication to the poor. After break for lunch, we drive to Cascia to visit the Monastery where Santa Rita lived as a nun and died. We will see her incorrupt body in the Basilica. Celebrate Mass Return to Assisi. Back to the hotel for dinner and overnight.

We depart in the morning to Pisa and upon arrival we visit the Duomo where we will celebrate Mass. After, there will be time at leisure for lunch and shopping and an optional tour of the Leaning Tower. In the afternoon, we continue to the spa village of Montecatini where we will check in our hotel with dinner and stay overnight.

Today we drive to Florence and upon arrival, we will have a walking tour through the streets of Florence stopping to visit the Duomo. We will get to see the Giotto Bells Tower and the Baptistery Doors, Gates of Paradise. Continue to Signoria Square considered as un “open-air museum”. Time at leisure for shopping at Ponte Vecchio. Then we visit the Franciscan church of Santa Croce, which houses the tombs of many Italian artists such as Galileo and Michelangelo. Return to Montecatini for dinner and stay overnight.

After breakfast, we check out and drive toward France driving along the Italian Riviera until we arrive in Monte Carlo, the most famous district in Monaco. We will have time at leisure for lunch before meeting the local guide. We will see the Monte Carlo’s famous casino, the promenade displaying the footprints of football stars, the Japanese-style garden, the beach, and the concert hall where the stage was built below sea level. Continue along the French Rivera to reach Marseille where we check in, have dinner and stay overnight.

Continue our journey to Lourdes, with a break in Avignon to visit the Pope's Palace and to celebrate Mass. In the late afternoon we arrive in Lourdes and check in at the hotel, dinner and overnight.

During our stay in Lourdes, we will visit the historic and spiritual sites associated with Bernadette, the visionary child of Lourdes. We begin at the Grotto of the Apparitions, and then continue on a guided walking tour visiting the Basilica of St. Pius X, Boly Mill, Soubirous family home, the Basilica of the Rosary, Miraculous Spring and the healing baths. Join pilgrims from around the world in the nightly rosary and candlelight procession.

Following breakfast, we will travel to Burgos. En route stop in Loyola to visit the birthplace of St. Ignatius and the Shrine where we will Celebrate Mass. Break for lunch and check in our hotel in Burgos for dinner and overnight stay.

Today we will visit Burgos‘ Cathedral with its superb architecture and its unique collection of works of art, including paintings, choir stalls, tombs and stained-glass windows. Here we celebrate Mass. Break for lunch in the city centre before departing towards Portugal and reach Fatima by dinner time. Check in at the hotel with dinner and overnight stay.

Today we will celebrate Mass at the spot where Our Lady appeared at the Chapel of Apparitions. After the Mass, we meet the guide and tour Fatima. We will get to visit the Basilica to see the site of Francisco and Jacinta’s graves and then on to the hamlet of Aljustrel where the three children lived during the Apparitions. Continue to Valinhos, the site where Our Lady appeared following the children’s release from prison. This evening you will get a chance to participate in the Stations of the Cross along with the Via Sacre, the site of the first Apparition. Dinner and overnight stay.

At agreed time, a transfer to Lisbon airport to catch our flights going back home. As we return, we remember the the places and sights we've visited and hopefully this pilgrimage has you spiritually nourished, enlightened, and refreshed.
